macOS Big Sur Update Bricking Some Older MacBook Pro Models

Just seen this post on Macrumors (that may be relevant to some users): macOS Big Sur Update Bricking Some Older MacBook Pro Models

PS. As an aside, I don't appear to be now seeing this post listed in the View active topics thread: macOS Big Sur Compatibility
It must have appeared as I wouldn't know about it otherwise. There are older active posts (last updated on Thursday) that are still listed. :?

I have no idea how phpbb determines what's on that list. For that reason and others I use the RSS feed to keep up with new posts, and NetNewsWire as my reader.

Actually, now you mention it, that's how I found out - it came up on RSS on Reeder 5 on Friday. It was only today when I went looking for it I couldn't see it in the Active posts. I guess it never appeared there.

I will make a mental note to check the announcements forum if i can't see a post. :)
