Moving to new Mac , OS and Indigo version

Hi,

I am currently running Indigo 7.3.1 on a somewhat outdated MacBook with El Capitan 10.11.6.
I want to move to a new Mac Mini with Catalina and run Indigo 7.4.

What is the best sequence? Move Indigo to the new Mac, staying on 7,3.1 and upgrade to 7.4 afterwards, or can this be done in one go by just moving the files and license? (I set the new Mac up from scratch, no restore from Time Machine).

Thanks in advance,
Andreas

Re: Moving to new Mac , OS and Indigo version

Upgrade to 7.4 first, then move your install to the new Mac. This will give you a working system to upgrade from to ensure the upgrade goes smoothly (note the deprecation of AppleScript in 7.4), then once you're satisfied it's working move it to the Catalina system.

You definitely don't want to try to do both at once, nor do you want to move before the upgrade since 7.3 doesn't run on Catalina.

...And if I failed to read this and updated the OS first, what is the best way to move from indigo 6 to 7 (just got my license tonight).

I'll answer my question:

Just install 7.x

New install worked fine and pulled in all the data from 6.
