indigo_7_4_1.dmg image not recognized error

I have Indigo 7.4 running well and attempting to upgrade to 7.4.1. After downloading the file and attempting to open it, I receive the following error message:

indigo_7_4_1.dmg image not recognized

I re-dowloaded the file thinking maybe it became corrupted but with the same result. Is my machine just to old now?

I'm running Indigo on an iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2010) with macOS Sierra version 10.12.6

Can you take a screenshot of what you're seeing?

We tested 7.4.1 and have several users using it on macOS Sierra, so I don't believe your macOS version is related. This can happen if there is a corrupt download. I know you downloaded it twice, but I'd suggest doing it again from a different browser (use Chrome if you used Safari before, for ex).

Also make sure you don't have any third-party archive applications attempting to open that disk image. Maybe try running Disk Utility.app and see if it can open it.

The problem was google chrome. When downloaded with Google Chrome version 79.0.3945 (64 bit) the file indigo_7_4_1.dmg the file was not usable. I tried several different downloads but all had the same result. I even accounted for my crappy satellite (HughesNet)connection by using a hot spot. Downloading the file with Safari solved the problem. It installed with zero errors and appears to be functioning as it should.
