Open the Activity Monitor application, and type Indigo into the search box in the top right corner. Take a screenshot of what shows.

I'm not sure what is going on if the server is running. I will see the main window pop up with all of my devices, it asks for an email and password for activation. When I type that information in, it the window goes away.

I'm not able to log into my reflector as well. I haven't tried reseting that.

Activity monitor attached.

Try totally disabling the macOS firewall (and any 3rd party firewall software you might have installed). Can you then get it started?

If not, then find the most recent Event Log file (in /Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 7/Logs/) and email it to us at support AT indigodomo DOT com.

Is the server running on the Mac where you are starting the client?

Yes, my Mac mini is my server, that is where the program is running.

I reinstalled Indigo 7.2, the program opens, but when I go to select the 2413U PowerLinc interface... the program goes back to "searching for the Indigo server". This interface is about 3 years old... Would a bad 2413U account for all of this?

There's something fundamentally wrong with your system. Because (IMO) you should never get that error if the client and server are on the same computer.

If you're willing to install TeamViewer on that system I could remote in and take a look.

Its a fairly new Mac mini, and I keep it up to date. I'm going to try another port to see if I get the same results. I hid my old folders, and set this up as a new system, when I select the interface, everything stops and spins... I'm thinking this could be the reason now... I think this will be 2413U number 3 for me.

I attached the pictures from the info log window... after I select the 2413U... everything stops.

By stop everything, do you mean you get the spinning beachball cursor and cannot select/do anything in Indigo. or do you just mean that Insteon commands are not being sent but other than Insteon Indigo is still working?

All the Indigo windows go away, and I just the small window that reads establishing connection to indigo server. I can't open or do anything in the program but force quit it. The program won't open after that, I have to restart the Mac mini to activate it again.

I was just thinking it was the 2413U unit, because this is sounding familiar to me, I think this happened about 3 years ago.

There have been a couple of cases reported of malfunctioning USB controllers causing lockups.

After it occurs, what happens if you unplug the PowerLinc from the Mac? Does Indigo become responsive again?

I moved the 2413U to a new port and now its works. I added my old data base and now re-syncing everything... we will see if this works!

Interesting – I'm glad it is up and working again!
