Moving everything to a new computer

I have perused this section and found tidbits on what to do but many times complete paths are left off or I don’t see the directory indicated.

Is there a step-by-step guide to what I need to move? This also would be reliant to what one needs to backup should they need to restore.

Thanks

If you stored your database file somewhere else (like the Documents folder in your user folder) then you'll need to move it over as well (Command-click the database name in the Home window and it will show the path to the database file). That's why we recommend storing it in the Databases directory in the installation folder.

The Indigo app is actually a folder, does anything change there?

What about:

/System/Library/Extensions/IndigoOverrides.kext
~(your user folder)/Library/LaunchAgents/com.perceptiveautomation.IndigoServer2.plist
~(your user folder)/Library/Preferences/com.perceptiveautomation.indigo-client6.plist
~(your user folder)/Library/Preferences/Indigo 7 Client Prefs.indiPref
~(your user folder)/Library/Preferences/Indigo 7 Client Settings.indiPref

IndigoOverrides.kext is only needed for the CM15 and PowerLinc 2414U (not the newer 2413U), neither of which are manufactured anymore to my knowledge. So you might need that file depending on your hardware, but most users won't.

The two .plists you mentioned are automatically written by the Indigo Server.

The client files you can copy over but they are mostly for cosmetic settings.

Nothing inside the Indigo 7.app bundle changes after installation.
