Indigo seems to have Alzheimer's?

Okay,

Ever since I moved Indigo over to my personal machine it's been flakey.

I replaced the failing 2313u, which I thought was the cause to periodically relink everything.
I've blamed the power supply on the 3d printer, on communication issues, which I filterlinced.

But I woke up, and Indigo told my I must of changed a module in my sleep, because it wanted to resync a module?
And now, I'm seeing phantom Insteon traffic from devices that don't seem to exist,

And I'm being forced to resync *ALL* links again, to regain control over the house.

But it seems more like Indigo is just forgetting the changes I've made every few weeks? Is this possible?

I'm already seriously considering on doing a clean OS re-install on this machine, but I don't know why this could be happening.

Matt, Jay, am I going insane? Could there be some reason that Indigo keeps flaking out on me?
Is there some other way to troubleshoot this so that I can prove what is causing the problem?

If the file/folder permissions for Indigo's database file (and parent folder) aren't correct then it would be possible that changes to the database aren't being saved, and thus would be lost after every Indigo Server restart. There would be errors in the Event Log file if that is the case.

I'll take a look, I haven't noticed any errors in the log file. And I've restarted the server multiple times without it losing it's data....
Can you give me a phrase to search for? Or "permissions" should be enough?

Sorry, I can't be more helpful right now, I'm not sure what I am looking for.

Okay, I just went through today's log and I don't see any mention of permissions related issues...

But when restarted, Indigo claimed that a module needed to be resync'd. So I suspect there is a permissions issue, even though it is not in the log.

What should the permissions be set to? I vaguely remember there being a permissions fix in Indigo, but I don't see it.

I believe the fix for permissions in Indigo is to just rerun the installer again.

I've re-run the installation at least twice.. So that didn't resolve the issue...

I did run the permission fixer, so that may have solved the issue... I'm not sure, but I maybe an edge case the permission fixer didn't account for...

Yes, it appears to be the correct file. I just copied it and re-updated the filename.

I usually change the filename with major releases, but not always...

240 crockett drive (Indigo v6.03).indiDb
240 crockett drive (Indigo v6.16) (v7.1.1).indiDb
240 crockett drive (Indigo v6.16).indiDb
240 crockett drive (Indigo v7.xx).indiDb

This way I have a fall back if something goes explosive.

It would be better to have the backups off the Mac Indigo is running on.

And they are. Time Machine is running, and I use the archiving plugin. But if I think about it, I make duplicates of the database before upgrades....
Backup in depth is never a bad idea...
