Interface->Zwave option not functional after upgrade

After indigo upgrade, it appears that the system is running normally with both insteon and z wave devices; but I can not configure z wave network. Under Interface menu the Z wave option is "greyed out" , Does USB Z-stick need an upgrade?

Re: Interface->Zwave option not functional after upgrade

Quit and relaunch the Indigo client app. If that doesn't help shutdown and restart the Indigo Server (via the Indigo 7->Stop Server menu item).

Does that help?

If not, after the Indigo Server restart open the Event Log window and copy/paste its contents into a reply for me.

Re: Interface->Zwave option not functional after upgrade

That fixed it! Thanks for your quick reply.
So far I am excited about the new capabilities! Thanks for listening to my (0ur) requests! Especially managing the network without carrying the stick around....

Re: Interface->Zwave option not functional after upgrade

Hey Matt,

My Indigo system died, so I've transplanted it to my iMac, and I've run into the same issue...

1) I've restarted the Indigo server multiple times
2) Reinstalled Indigo as well.
3) Everything seems to be working, but I'm having some zWave wonkyness, so I was going to have it re-setup the network, when I discovered the Zwave interface menu is greyed out...

Here's the log file:

When you moved to the new Mac and copied over the appropriate folder, did you rerun the Indigo installer?

A few more questions:

  • Besides the Z-Wave interface menu being grayed out, what other Z-Wave "wonkyness" are you seeing specifically? (there don't appear to be any errors in the event log snippit above)
  • Are you on v7.1.1?
  • What OS version?

I'm seeing occasional timeouts on zwave transmissions...

Yes, 7.1.1. On MOSX 10.3.4.

Re: Interface->Zwave option not functional after upgrade

Well, after a horrible Saturday for Home Automation, everything appears to be fine.

1) Even though everything had been working fine, Suddenly on Saturday Insteon died (continuous Resend loop)... Ended up using the workaround for 10.3.x, with the FTDI driver, which originally seemed to not make a difference... But eventually it just suddenly started back up fine... But it was just that one outlet where I was having an issue... Weird...

2) The Interface -> Zwave configuration options are now working after the FTDI workaround. I can't explain why, but my Zwave network is back up and working without any issue, after optimizing and a bit of trial and effort... (Repositioning the zWave adapter, etc).

Now to update the Survey plugin...
