"Received sleep notification from system" problem

Occasionally Indigo running on my macmini server (dedicated for Indigo) "freezes", in the logs I see "Received sleep notification from system" just before this occurs. Energy saver settings are set to never sleep and I have disabled App Nap for Indigo.

(OS X El Capitan 10.11)

Re: "Received sleep notification from system" problem

Unfortunately, this is a relatively common OS X bug. Lots of reports of sleep happening when it's not supposed to. I have a new MacBook Pro that periodically sleeps even though I've got the settings right. I haven't looked into it more because we're really busy, but I will have to tackle it soon.

Re: "Received sleep notification from system" problem

Was any progress ever made on this? I run Indigo on an iMac and it has been very stable and reliable. About a month ago I stopped using the iMac as a second monitor for a MacBook, (target display mode), and Indigo has freaked out twice since then flooding the logs with an endlessly looping stream of errors regarding lost connectivity, broken plugins, etc. Both times there was a sleep message in the log at the start of the event. The iMac is definitely set to never sleep. I need to fix this.

Mac OS 10.13.4, Indigo 7.1.1

Re: "Received sleep notification from system" problem

Install Amphetamine from the MacOS App Store. I had the same issue with my Mac Mini and Amphetamine fixed it.

LOL - I found an app called Coffee Buzz I'm trying, but if Amphetamine works I'll switch to it.

Re: "Received sleep notification from system" problem

One of the OS updates since I bought my MacBook Pro apparently fixed the issue for me.
