Is this thread still relevant? If not then maybe its worth editing the title or the first post to point to the wiki?

This thread is from a user and is not official documentation - it was just his experience moving Indigo. There is a section in our documentation about moving, though we leave the details of physically moving the Indigo install folder to the user (we assume a certain level of technical knowledge given the complexity of Indigo).

Thanks Jay, sign of how good the forum is that I look here first rather than the wiki etc

Fair point well made!

Re: steps to move indigo to a new mac

Hi Jay,
I read your post about what version OS to upgrade to 10.11?
Is 10.11 still the best version to upgrade to?
I am still running Indigo 6 on Snow Leopard 10.6.8
I want to upgrade Indigo to 7.1 once I upgrade the OS. (can't go above 7.1 due to Applescripts???)
Note that I have a 2413U, a Z-wave usb stick gen 2, and a mixture of Insteon
and z-wave devices, security spy 3.04, and several Applescripts running,
and a few python scripts.
I don't want to upgrade the OS X, but have to because of Dropbox's requirement to be at least OSX 10.9
I just want to double check with you BEFORE I upgrade the OS, to make sure I don't go up to the wrong
version that will give Indigo problems. (therefore reducing my need to ask you annoying questions :D )

Re: steps to move indigo to a new mac

My production server is running 10.12 and is working fine now. There were some early bugs but those have apparently been fixed.

10.13 is the only OS version that has outstanding bugs (which don't effect everyone, but does seem to fail on older hardware such as yours).

Moving Indigo

Hey Jay,

Just moving Indigo to a new Mac and the license is playing up. I've deactivated on my old mac and it's not showing as available on my new mac. It still shows as registered to my old mac.
Anything you can do please?

Just to follow-up, Pete had an unusual deactivation case which we dealt with offline.
