Migrating to a new iMac ...

Hi,

I replaced my iMac's legacy hard drive with a new SSD drive. I also migrated the complete content of my computer from a full CCC backup.

That being done, I am now left with an Indigo error message that you can see below.

What is the solution to this ?

Regards.

Looks like you were using a Keyspan/Logitech USB to serial adapter for your CM11. You need to re-install the driver for that.

Re: Migrating to a new iMac ...

Thanks Matt ....

The Keyspan adapter app is installed and launching it does not change anything. I will unistalla it and download a new one.

Am I correct to say that Keyspan has something to do with Mac Os's System Intergrity Protection (SIP) ? I recall something about the SIP but am not sure if it is related to Indigo or Keyspan.

Thanks in advance.

What specifically did you install? You want to install the Keyspan driver for the adapter you have. I think there is something called the Keyspan Assistant, which if I remember correctly is different and not what you want. After installing the driver you might have to go into the Security system settings panel and approve the driver.

Hi Matt,

After migrating to a new iMac, the Keyspan driver was not sowing up anymore in the Keyspan Serial Assistant (KSA) app's window. I found a new KSA v2.6 installer. After unsintalling and installing the new one, it still does not show up in the KSA app. I also autorized the KSA in the System Prefs's Security settings

Do you have a clue on how to get it recognize ?

Regards.

Honestly, if the driver isn't identifying the adaptor then maybe the driver just doesn't work (or maybe the adaptor itself is having some issues). I don't know what the state of the Keyspan devices is nowadays. You might want to get an FTDI or SILabs based adaptor and see if either of those work better. Some older Macs have issues with the FTDI drivers, but the SILabs drivers seem to be working consistently.
