Access to beta software?

Hello RogueProeliator,

I would very much like to participate in your beta software testing of HousePad.
Can you help with this?

I am very close to opening the beta up to everyone, but have sent you the download link via PM for now.

Re: Access to beta software?

Hello Adam,

I have been test driving the beta software and it is really sweet! It loads fast and has never crashed!
Very nice icons and user interface!

Question:
When trying to access my items in the Devices section it appears blank. I can see the folders that I have created from with Indigo, but not the items inside the folders.

Question:
When trying to access the Indigo Event Log it stays blank. I get a message saying "The AndroidClientHelper plugin is missing or mis-configured".

Any tips would be greatly appreciated! :)

Re: Access to beta software?

I'm not sure why your devices wouldn't be showing up -- if you wouldn't mind, send me a debug report as soon as you navigate to a folder that should have some actual items. To do this, hit the menu/more options icon in the action bar and choose the "Help" option. Then click the "Send Debug" button. This will submit the last communications with the Indigo server so I can see what might be happening in your case.

As for the Indigo log... that message is indicating that HousePad cannot talk to the plugin on your Indigo server. To enable some advanced features, you need to install a plugin which is not a standard Indigo plugin. Please see this forum post for installation details:
http://www.perceptiveautomation.com/userforum/viewtopic.php?f=73&t=11533

If you have any issues after that installation, please let me know.

Re: Access to beta software?

Hello Adam,

I sent you the Debug log from my device.
I moved the device items out of their folders and now they can be seen via HousePad. :D

After installing the PostSLQ software here is what I am getting from the Indigo log

WebServer: undefined page requested "http://myserver.dyndns.org:8176/AndroidClientHelper/getIndigoEventLog" from 192.168.1.1

Looks like I am getting close but not close enough.
This SLQ is a new learning curve so please bare with me :)

Man, I apologize but I never saw this post - just noticed that you had replied when posting in this forum on another topic. Were you able to resolve your issue?

If not, that error is indicating that HousePad cannot find/talk to the HousePad Indigo Plugin. Have you installed that? I just posted a small update, so you may wish to install the latest and try again.

Re: Access to beta software?

Hello Adam,

Its all good.
Thanks to your previous response with setting up that database and all my concerns became solved.

Congrats on the release on yet a newer beta version. I'm rockin it now and all seems well. The app loads fast, doesn't conflict with other apps, and is a wonderful alternative to android users!
Looking forward to supporting the continued development of this app!

Thank you :D
