Options for decoupling Insteon PowerLinc

I have a situation where my Insteon PowerLinc USB is connected to a Mac within my shop (a metal building). Signal travels great in the shop, but when the garage door is closed, I get hamstrung reliability to my Insteon devices in my home which is about 80' away.

I've been putting up with this for years. I absolutely hate it.

The issue is that the PowerLinc must be connected to my controlling Mac via USB.

If there were such a thing as an Insteon network hub that Indigo could interface to, it would allow me to test placing the hub in the house (which is directly connected to the same network as the shop).

Is there such a beast?

Not directly. There is a plugin for the ISY devices as well as for the Vera controllers (some of those support Insteon). You can also attempt to use a network USB bridge though the PLMs seem to be pretty susceptible to unusual USB connectivity so it might not work consistently if at all.
