Insteon Outlet Alternative

So it seems that Insteon hardware is getting harder to find and there has been a plethora of other brands that have hit the market. Im looking for a controllable wall outlet either dimmable or simply on off. Anyone have experience with any brands you like that work with indigo? I’ve got Insteon and Z-wave interfaces.

How often is that list updated, and do the Honeywell Z wave products work with indigo?

There are several Honeywell products that work with Indigo. It is one of the manufacturers you can select in the drop-down filter menu on that page. You then have to click on the particular category of device you are searching. What specific module are you interested in (what is its name and model number)?

Or looking at a specific model or product. Just noticed when I was searching for some of the other manufactures that brand kept popping up.

That list is fairly regularly maintained. Lots of Z-Wave options, not so much with Insteon since they are just a single manufacturer. As we note at the top, Z-Wave devices that aren't included will often "just work" because of how Z-Wave devices identify what they are and what they do. So a device that turns loads on/off will often automatically work without being explicitly added to Indigo. Those devices won't show up on the list because we don't know about them. Devices like that can be added if users submit the device information (from a button in the config dialog if we don't already know about it) and it'll get added to the list for us to verify.

Insteon doesn't have this kind of discoverability so any device must be manually added to Indigo so that the server will know about it.
