How to replace a Device without reconfiguring triggers, etc

Is there a way to replace devices in Indigo without having to reconfigure any triggers, action groups, etc that may have been using that device?

I am looking to replace a broken Insteon door sensor and also an Insteon keypadlinc. I was hoping to not need to redo all of the setup

thanks in advance!

Re: How to replace a Device without reconfiguring triggers,

Yes - just edit the device and since they are Insteon devices just define and sync using the new Insteon address. Everything (including Insteon links) will migrate automatically.

Re: How to replace a Device without reconfiguring triggers,

Thanks Jay - device replace worked 'almost' seamlessly.

One curve ball - i actually replaced a previous model Insteon Motion Sensor with the latest - Insteon Motion Sensor II .. Now I notice that my trigger for catching 'Off' on 'Button/Group1' no longer works. In the past it worked fine for catch the OFF in order to turn off some lights

Any suggestions? I was gonna try just deleting the trigger and re-creating it

I'm not sure the new motion sensor uses button 1 - remind me, what did it mean with the old motion sensor?

Re: How to replace a Device without reconfiguring triggers,

Looking at triggers for a prior model Insteon Motion Sensor .. For 'Received OFF' I see the following:
- Group 1 (motion detected)
- Group 2 (dusk/dawn battery)
- Group 3 (low battery)

Just trigger off of the sensor device's onState - that reflects motion.
