Recommended LED bulbs for dimming Insteon devices...

Thought I saw some recommendations posted somewhere for the new LED builds that play well with Insteon devices but after searching for 20 minutes I can't find it.
Specifically LED bulbs (not Insteon enabled bulbs) that work well with Insteon dimming control devices. Look for the equivalent of 100- 150 watt incandescent bulbs that are phased out.

Thank you!

have not seen any LED > 90 Watt you can by for regular outlets

60 and 90 watt equivalent from cree work fine. http://www.creebulb.com/

Saw a supposed 100W equivalent LED light for sale at Lowes last week. Don't recall the brand and I didn't buy it ($27 I believe) so I have no way of telling how well it works with Indigo.

I've been a buying from monoprice.com for years now, and always been happy with items I've purchased. Last night I was on the sight and they now have LED bulbs.

But they stop at 75w equivalency.

Re: Recommended LED bulbs for dimming Insteon devices...

I have a houseful of Insteon devices that play nicely with the FEIT bulbs from Costco. I tried several other brands unsuccessfully before I found these to work well.

Their 45watt equivalent PAR20 LEDs (which run at 8 watts) are brighter than the 50watt bulbs they replaced and they dim very nicely. There is some flickering at VERY low lighting levels, but I have yet to find an LED that doesn't do this. The other bulbs I tried flickered at all kinds of brightness levels.

And the great news is: They are inexpensive! a 2-pack of the PAR20s is $18.75 at Costco (as of August 2014). Less than $10 a bulb is a crazy good deal even as prices come down.

I also have some FEIT A15 bulbs (40watt equivalent at 4.3 watts) that are working well.

Good luck!

Re: Recommended LED bulbs for dimming Insteon devices...

IKEA now has some cheap LED light bulbs called LEDARE

small socket (first I have seen with this socket)
- 200 lumen / 4.5W for $5

reglar socket:
- 400 lumen 6.3W for $5
- 600 lumen 10W for $8 (2 different types: spot, and round)

all at 2700 Kelvin Temperature equivalent

They seem to work ok, no problems after 2 days.

Dimming works down to about 25% light output (visual impression), then lamp turns off

Having tried a dozen other brands, Costco, Home Depot etc. Lowes brand works the best with Insteon
dimmers for me by far.

Hi all,
I'm bumping this because Costco has a 2-pack of FEIT smart bulbs for $9.99.
Can those bulbs be controlled with Indigo?

Seems like a really nice price, but these bulbs are “Wi-Fi Smart Bulbs”, which plugin supports them? They have native Siri support, but I prefer to have one controler, indigo.
