ICON Devices

I am having great success with the Indigo and Insteon, however, I am trying to use some ICON devices and while the computer can see them when they are switched, it can not link to them. I have noticed that they are still revisions 1.xx and not 2.xx. does that make a difference?

The revision label on the ICON products (1.x) is no different than the "2.x" labels on the white-line products. We made the while led models first and there were many hardware and firmware changes during the development cycle (as one would expect). When the first customer shipments started, we bumped everything "2.0" instead of, for example, "1.69B". ICON models started at “1.0”

The firmware for the two lines comes from the same project files. The engineer just enables or disables features to create the firmware that will be used for each project.

Re: ICON Devices

What errors are you seeing? They should work just like the SwitchLinc V2s.

It says that it fails to establis a link with the device. I wired a bunch of the Icon's today and some insteons and the Icons all get the same message. In fact, I changed one from an Icon to and Insteon and it works fine. No other changes, same wiring etc.

I think this is probably related to the problem discussed on this thread. I'll try to get it fixed over the next few days. I think this problem occurred when I started forcing an upload of the newer internal application run by the PowerLinc. I never saw it before that, so we just need to track down what the cause is in the newer internal app...

Re: Icon Devices

Different problem -- you just need the latest beta download, then you shouldn't have any problems.

Read the link noted. Tried many times to sync, and got the same thing. Let me know when you get it debugged. I love it with the ones it works on!!!!

Thanks

Re: icon Devices

The latest beta already fixes the problem I'm seeing by your Event Log snippet. Give it a try and let me know.

Problem solved here also.
