Insteon Lives on?

Hopefully the new line up is compatible with existing Insteon devices!

Fingers crossed that the Ethernet Bridge can replace the 2413U as well!

Re: Insteon Lives on?

Who knows, maybe having a real name associated with it will help (I have doubts given the protocol deficiencies).

To me, the hub just looks like a rebranded version of their existing hub. Maybe they'll provide a decent API, but again I have my doubts.

Anyway, I guess time will tell.

Re: Insteon Lives on?

I don't know for sure of course, but it's highly doubtful. The speed limitation is sorta built-in to the Insteon technology itself, so unless they completely reworked the physical layer, I don't see how they could get any real speed improvements. And if they did, that would most likely make them incompatible with older Insteon tech...
