Insteon 2843-222 Open/Close Sensor (Inverse Operation?)

Post by SearchCz »

I have an odd application for a 2843-222 Open/Close sensor where it would be helpful if I can get this thing to send the opposite commands. That is, I would like to get an OFF command when the door open, and an ON command when it closes. Maybe there is a raw command I can send that will accomplish this? Any ideas?

Take a look at the Device Extensions 3rd party plugin here. In particular, I believe you can use this to create a new device that has the opposite boolean state.

I'll check it out! I might hang an NC micro switch off that 2843-222 to gain an OPEN status when door is closed.
