I'd also like to ask for a better implementation. At this point, even the initial linking isn't really working as it needs to be done manually. Even then, it is not obvious how to trigger each action.

Thanks for the feedback. Adding some customer commands for the siren is definitely on our request list.

Actually, just started moving to z-wave after my latest all on insteon glitch so might not want to install it anyway. I hope to get better stability and response from the switches, and there seems to be way way more choices for modules.

Re: When will the Insteon Siren 2868-222 be better supported

I tried to use the new commands for setting the Insteon Siren between the siren and chime sounds, but I get the following error:

INSTEON Commands Error plugin does not define method setCurrentAlarmType

Anyone experience this or have ideas about it?

Looks like we have a buglet. We are investigating – thanks for the report.

Wanted to report the same as above. Would appreciate if you all could push out a quick fix so we can use these things.... 7.3.0001 would be just fine!

Ham

Code: Select all
Trigger                         Doorbell Rings Siren 3
Updated                         "SmokeBridge 3 Main Attic" on
INSTEON Commands Error          plugin does not define method setCurrentAlarmType

Have you tried 7.3.1? I think it might have made it into that release.

Afraid that one was discovered right after we released 7.3.1. It'll be fixed in 7.3.2 for sure.
