MiCasaVerde Vera Plugin

Note: this plugin has been open sourced and is available on GitHub. Check there for the latest version of the plugin.

Hi all,

Today we're excited to announce the availability of our MiCasaVerde Vera plugin, allowing you to integrate the world of Z-Wave products directly with Indigo.

What's the plugin for?
The plugin allows you to control Z-Wave dimmers, relays, security sensors etc via the MiCasaVerde Vera Z-Wave gateway directly with Indigo. Full details on our website at http://www.homeautomationplugins.com/vera

What hardware is required?
The plugin will work with the Vera 2, Vera 3 or Vera Lite gateways, as long as they're running the latest UI5 firmware from MiCasaVerde. Full details here http://www.homeautomationplugins.com/supported-vera-hardware/. The plugin allows you to control the following Z-Wave device types in Indigo:
Dimmers - http://www.homeautomationplugins.com/vera/help/dimmer
Relays - http://www.homeautomationplugins.com/vera/help/relay
Controllers - http://www.homeautomationplugins.com/vera/help/controller

Features
Automatic creation of Z-Wave devices from Vera to Indigo - http://www.homeautomationplugins.com/auto-creating-devices/
Reporting of battery levels for battery powered devices (common in Z-Wave PIR sensors etc), allowing you to create triggers in Indigo to be alerted when battery levels drop below a certain level.
Reporting of online/offline status for battery powered Z-Wave devices (Z-Wave wakeup-interval reporting)
Dimmers, thermostats and relays implemented as native Indigo devices - to enable built-in Indigo UI controls on the Mac client and Indigo Touch.

Re: Z-Wave (MiCasaVerde Vera) Plugin Released

The developer has become too busy with other projects to continue to support / maintain the plugins. However, he did agree that we could make them available on our site.

We won't be able to provide support for them but the plugins include the python source if others want to modify/enhance them.

I'll try to get them posted on our site later today.

Re: Z-Wave (MiCasaVerde Vera) Plugin Released

This plugin is now available for download here. This is a 3rd party plugin, but the developer of this plugin is no longer providing support. It is provided as-is for those wishing to use or modify it.

Re: Z-Wave (MiCasaVerde Vera) Plugin Released

I paid for this plugin. Do you know if the developer continues support for those who paid?
I guess not reading your comment. I do not know what to think of this :!:

I finally invested in Vera and Z-Wave because of this plugin and was happy to pay for it.
Please reconsider adopting this plugin for your community...
I'm willing to pay for development and support (again).

Greetings,
Adrian

We won't be supporting Z-Wave via Vera, but we are actively investigating native Z-Wave support.

Re: Z-Wave (MiCasaVerde Vera) Plugin Released

Hi Matt,

Any chance the developer gave you access to the documentation pages for his plugin that used to exist at http://www.homeautomationplugins.com?

In particular, I'm looking for:
http://www.homeautomationplugins.com/vera/help/doorlock http://www.homeautomationplugins.com/au ... g-devices/

Thanks,

Maurice

Re: Z-Wave (MiCasaVerde Vera) Plugin Released

Wow, that's a shame for the people that shelled out the $50 for this plugin. I almost grabbed it. But I use Alarm.com and it uses Z-wave technology as well. So I let it control my front door rather than purchasing a vera and the plugin.

Indigo 7, Monterey (12.1) on a 2009 Mac Pro..

Well I could... But the big stumbling block I have is that I don't have any hardware to test the plugin(s) with...
