Re: Russound RNET Plugin

I no longer see it in the plugin store. I should still have a copy on my computer if you want me to send it to you.

The author is not around any more, unless it’s been taken over - I’ve not read the 106 posts over 6 years on this topic.

The plugin store (2018/19) requires authors to republish, or Matt/Jay to check it and take it over/grant it to another dev.

AFAIK, it was never published on Github with any kind of license attached, so it's not as simple as just allowing someone to take it over. Since it was based on work from @nlagaros, anyone interested in taking it over can probably just get the source (and consent) from Nick to take over development and support...

Re: Russound RNET Plugin

Did github even exist in 2011?

I didn’t spot the last line of the first post referencing Nick so yes you’re correct.

Re: Russound RNET Plugin

I’m sure I have the source saved somewhere. I don’t have the hardware to support any longer. I will happily turn it over to anyone who wishes to use/support this moving forward.

Re: Russound RNET Plugin

If it still works, you could just put it on your github / plugin store unsupported.

Make sure the license doesn’t restrict another dev taking it over if necessary in the future.

Re: Russound RNET Plugin

Someone get me the latest copy of the source and I'll put it in our Open Source repo where anyone can contribute to it.

Re: Russound RNET Plugin

Ok - @nlagaros has given us permission to add it to our open source repos on Github. I've added the v1.1.4 version to the Plugin Store. Anyone who wants to contribute may issue pull requests against the Github repo and one of our dedicated repo managers will get it updated and pushed up to the store.

Also, bug reports or feature requests should be submitted via the GitHub issues page.
