Paired z-wave devices are not responding to manual trigger

I'm find that a number of my paired devices are not responding when manually triggered at the device. When the device is turned on at the source, Indigo will not pick it up, yet I can successfully operate it via Indigo. Eg. I turned on a light at the switch, but indigo still indicates it is turned off, I then turn on & off via Indigo and the light turns off.

Can anyone offer an explanation as to why this is happening & how it can be rectified.

Most newer modules broadcast out changes, but some older modules didn't. So, what specific modules are you using?
