Hi all, a few small additions, and a link to a testing review video -

FYI for those considering this stick, and I should have heeded advice on 700 vs zoos 800.

Yes, greater response times, great range. But, needing to remove Zooz 800 stick at least 3 times per day and re-insert is hardly taking my home automation in the forward direction.

So, I increased my Lutron devices, tossed older, pre z-wave Plus devices into a pile .

An 800 series HUB that is promising is the HE C8:
I am super impressed with the ability for the HE C8 to plow through walls, and reach areas quickly, where the Aeotec 5 stick would be sluggish, or never could reach without multiple devices in between.
While I have not created a formal testing methodology, this video , and saw similar results to what I see:

I also like the concept that the HE radio settings can be backed up for a fee (reenrolling devices every 5 years when a stick fails, cost money, right ?). I would prefer to avoid that work and pay the small fee.

Now, the fun part, how the heck to get Indigo seeing Hubitat as easily as the Lutron hubs are connected ?

So, while the Zooz 800 stick sounds like a great way to reach the far edges of a large property, in my experience, it does not appear to be quite ready yet…

I hope this helps someone avoid days of effort!

Brian

Thanks
-Brian

The recent Indigo 2023.1.0 release now includes support for the Zooz 700 S2 Stick (ZST10) USB Controller.

Should the Zooz 800 Series Z-Wave Long Range S2 USB Stick ZST39 work in 2022.2?

Thanks,

Carl

We have not tested it, so we can't say authoritatively. We have anecdotal reports that it does work, but I personally wouldn't recommend it over what we have tested in the supported interface list.
