Zooz 800 Supported?

Hi all,

I'm having no luck associating this Zooz temperature sensor with this new USB stick.

Are there any known issues with the Zooz 800 and Indigo?

Update: Apparently the devices were already associated so I had to exclude them. This worked with the Zooz 800. I can now include them but syncing times out. I'm also having the same issue with a Zooz ZEN04 smart plug.

Just to check my sanity, I tried the disassociate/associate dance with the ZEN04 smart switch. After it associates with the 800 stick, I create a new device and sync, but it just times out:

With the Zooz 700 stick, the device syncs with no problems:

I repeated this three times with the same results.

So there's an issue with the Zooz 800, or Indigo's communication with it.

Can you turn on Indigo's Z-Wave debug logging checkbox (via the Interfaces->Z-Wave->Configure... menu item), then exclude, re-include, and resync the module with both the Zooz 700 and Zooz 800 sticks? I'd like to see what is different at the message level so I can hopefully fix it, so having a working and failure comparison would be very helpful.

No, ZWLR requires S2 security which we don't support. Adding S2 security is on the feature request list, but it's a huge undertaking and thus far demand has been quite low. We continue to monitor the market to see where things are heading and will prioritize as appropriate.

Well. Count me in for ZWLR, and if it requires S2, then that as well. Unless Matter gets a lot better soon, ZW is still my go to.

Hi Matt,

I have the Zooz 700 S2 and an older static z-wave controller from SI labs. The SI labs controller sets itself up as node one and then I can add other devices no problem per normal instructions. With the new Zooz S2 stick 700, after I have excluded all devices and then try end include them, they will be added to the node list, but will not sync as elf55 had for the 800. Node one is never added with the Zooz stick. My error log looks nearly identical to the one for the 800. Any help on what might be going on would be much appreciated.

With the Z-Wave debug logging still enabled, choose the Interfaces->Z-Wave->Reload menu item and copy/paste the Event Log window results for me. I think the problem is Indigo doesn't recognize the model ID of your new Zooz S2 stick 700.

Here is the log. As you can see it also has 2 devices that it will add to the list, but it won't sync them. Can reset Zstick, exclude, then include and then sync with the old controller just fine.
