Integrating a pressure mat with Z-wave

Fairly certain I saw some discussion about making pressure mats work with Indigo sensors, but search turns up six pages of unrelated results.

I'm looking to make Indigo aware that someone is in bed and a pressure mat seems the way, though I need one that can cope with telling the difference between the heavy memory foam mattress and the mattress + a person or persons.

Anyone have experience with finding such discerning pressure mats, and if so, how did you integrate them with Indigo?

SmartThings refugee, so happy to be on Indigo. Monterey on a base M1 Mini w/Harmony Hub, Hue, DomoPad, Dynamic URL, Device Extensions, HomeKitLink, Grafana, Plex, uniFAP, Fantastic Weather, Nanoleaf, LED Simple Effects, Bond Home, Camect.

Re: Integrating a pressure mat with Z-wave

Hi,

In the past we have done some tests with a Security Floor Mat like this one (without the alarm buzz):
https://www.amazon.com/Ideal-Security-S ... 176&sr=8-3

and
the Fibaro Smart Implant:
https://www.fibaro.com/en/products/smart-implant/

or

the Aeotec Door/Window sensor, this one has a potential free input:
https://aeotec.com/products/aeotec-door ... sor-7-pro/

Hope this helps for your project.

John

PS: we are also using the old Fibaro door window sensor with a Ds18b20wtp temperature sensor to monitor the temperature in bed to switch on the electric blanket before wife is going to bed :D
