Aeotec ZWA039

I have been using weathersnoop 2.25 and an Oregon Scientific weather station for my needs and to run multiple triggers.

The beauty of this setup was the ability to monitor up to 10 remote temperature sensors in various rooms and have things trigger when a temperature was reached.

As this version of software is not working anymore with the latest version of Indigo. I have upgraded to a Weatherflow Tempest weather station which works awesome and looking at adding a few remote sensors (not 10) to accomplish the same as before.

This page...https://www.indigodomo.com/devices/category/30/ indicates support for an older ZWA009 but I believe it has been replaced with ZWA039 (Aeotec aerQ ZWave Temperature and Humidity Sensor).

Is this supported or going to be supported.?

Can you use the button in Indigo's device settings dialog to write the device profile info to the Event Log window, then copy/paste that into a reply for me?

I could ............but I don't own one yet.

wanted to see if it is/or going to be supported before I purchase some.

We'd definitely add it to the list to support. I have most of the Aeotec modules but not that one, so we'll need someone to submit the information for it.

Looks like Indigo recognizes that one as the AërQ (ZWA009). Does it work correctly? If not, what specifically doesn't work?

I have this device and is working with Indigo, except that it returns the temp in Celsius. Just haven't found a way to make provide temp in Fahrenheit. Using the Adapters plugin.

Was able to include it in the setup.......

seems to be working OK......Indigo is not able to "Wake" it up. Only way to change parameters seems to be pushing the button on the device....then quickly reading or setting the parameter immediately after button push when it is awoken. (not sure if this is normal or not).

But I was able to change a few parameters...ie F-C, reporting Interval etc etc

FYI...If you are using Indigo....you can go to "Interfaces" "Zwave" "Modify configuration Parameter"......select the device you want to change.

change the Param Index to 64......then change the Param Value to "2" then send new value to device and you should be all set.

The default for parameter 64 is "1" which is celsius out of the box.

I can sync, so I am sure I know how to wake up the device. However, when I try to read or set parameter 64, I get:

Z-Wave Error failed to read value -- device may not support parameter 64 or may be asleep

anything special to set this?

Anyone know how to update the firmware for the Aeotec Aerq device? I'm on a Mac with OS X using Indigo
