Appearance: Amazon Echo wins this category

Amazon Echo – second generation:

  • The original Echo looked like a cylinder with 5 color options: charcoal, heather, oak, walnut, or sandstone.
  • Echo Dot is a smaller and cheaper model of the Echo with all the functions.
  • Echo Input, which can turn your old speaker into an Alexa-controlled one.
  • Echo Show includes video watching and two-way video calling, which is different from Google Hub, and it controls your doorbell.

Google Home:

  • The ordinary Google Home has a cylindrical shape and looks like a dehumidifier with a white top and a gray bottom. You can also alter the base color to carbon, copper metal, coral, marine, violet, or mango.
  • Alternative sizes include the Google Home Max, which is more extensive and more expensive, and the Google Home Mini, which is smaller and cheaper than the original one.
  • Another choice is the Nest Hub, with a 7-inch touchscreen display which allows you to deal with photos, videos, and to control your smart home.

Cost: Amazon Echo wins

Amazon Echo:

  • Lowest retail price for the fabric-covered option is $100, but you can have a better deal if it is on sale at about $70.
  • A budget option is the Echo Input for $35.

Google Home

  • Costs a little bit more at $129. Nevertheless, you can wait for its price reduction at $99 and $79 during sale events.
  • A Google Home Mini retails at $49.
  • The Nest Hub is originally $129.

Voice Assistant: Google Home

Amazon Echo: You will have Alexa as your assistant with voice change in terms of accents and languages.

Google Home with Google Assistant offers you the same change in accents and languages. Moreover, Google Assistant can switch its voice between being male or female, and it is multilingual, which means that you can set and communicate many languages at the same time. Google Assistant can also work as your translator at home.

Skills: Google Home

Amazon Echo:

  • With the Skill Blueprints portal, you can customize your own skills with Echo and set up your routines.
  • Better for a video call.
  • When asking Alexa questions, you have to do them one by one, and wait for the answer after 5-10 seconds.

Google Home

  • Do not need to add new skills to Google Assistant as with the Echo. Google Assistant has a wide range of features and gains a new one every day.
  • Using the “multiple actions” feature, you can ask a few questions at the same time.
  • “Google Duplex” helps to make a phone call on your behalf when a phone receiver does not recognize that a virtual assistant handles the call.

Compatibility with other smart home devices: Amazon Echo

Amazon Echo does well with more than 60,000 smart home devices. You can easily find the list online.

Google Home works with more than 10,000 smart devices.

We know that it is hard to buy a smart device and hope that our pick for each specific factor above is useful in your quest to find the Top product reviews TheKingLive. Re: Water sensor not working

Did you try excluding and re-including it (then re-syncing)? That normally factory resets the module.
