Danalock not behaving well

Hi all,

I have over 180 nodes on my network and it all use to work well.
Now I have installed a Danalock V3 and the lock is not behaving well at all, it fails to lock/unlock maybe 1/10 times with typical errors below:

Z-Wave Error encrypted command received from node ID 184 has invalid CBC-MAC value (ignoring)
Z-Wave Error no ack/nak/busy reply (184) for nonceReport (re-sending)
Z-Wave Error send "Storage door 1 lock" unlock failed
Z-Wave Error send "Storage door 1 lock" lock failed

I think below is related as well:

Z-Wave Error RCVD encryptedPacket: unexpected sequence byte D1
Z-Wave Error RCVD encryptedPacket: full raw packet 01 23 00 04 00 B8 1D 98 81 C4 75 D3 8F A8 80 06 E0 33 6E 9D 64 9D B7 EE B5 BB 26 93 F0 6D 5B 3A 50 07 37 EF EF
Z-Wave Error RCVD encryptedPacket: encrypted packet 33 6E 9D 64 9D B7 EE B5 BB 26
Z-Wave Error RCVD encryptedPacket: decrypted packet D1 4C 68 0E 74 33 5A 7C 49 D6
Z-Wave Error RCVD encryptedPacket: unexpected sequence byte D1
Z-Wave Error RCVD encryptedPacket: full raw packet 01 23 00 04 00 B8 1D 98 81 C4 75 D3 8F A8 80 06 E0 33 6E 9D 64 9D B7 EE B5 BB 26 93 F0 6D 5B 3A 50 07 37 EF EF

Z-Wave Error RCVD encryptedPacket: decrypted packet D1 4C 68 0E 74 33 5A 7C 49 D6
Z-Wave Error send "Storage door 1 lock" lock failed

The distance between my Gen5 stick and the lock is not that great, maybe 10m (30 feet?) diagonal trough one wall and one roof (wood). Other devices further away work great.
I have rebooted my Indigo computer and removed/re-attached the Gen5 stick multiple times.

Any ideas? I've heard that the UZB1 is a better device than the Gen5 and that I can restore a Gen5 backup to a UZB1, maybe that is the way to go?!

Best regards, L

Re: Danalock not behaving well

I have no issues with Danalock v3 and Aeoteck USB stick (Gen5), as well as UZB1 (two different apartments).

You can try:

1) Update the Danalock firmware to the latest one (they made a lot of fixes) - use mobile app for that (I'm using iPhone)
2) Try to exclude/include and sync the lock again.

Re: Danalock not behaving well

180 devices is a lot (but I've got more :)) ), so network optimisation could help.
Also to reduce polling - the network could be congested. You can actually try to enable z-wave debug and have a look at the "what's going on".

I've seen some similar behaviour because of the faulty z-wave device (in the relay path).

Re: Danalock not behaving well

Yes, there is allot of traffic on the network. I have debug on as default. I have actually replaced like 20 nodes du to them being old and I suspect they might have messed things up. I have also ran network optimization multiple times ,after any change in number of nodes). I have set up push triggers at slow ack and no ack. 99% of all the triggers originated from the lock, even at a 5s trigger level. I guess it’s nothing one can do, a battery powered device can’t be as responsive as a device on continuous power :/

Re: Danalock not behaving well

Danalock used to work very well with the plugins. There has been an update for Danalock and I do not get the right commands to open the door. The danalock device shows it's locked and then almost immediately it shows 'unlocked' again. And I cannot open the lock anymore. To get it working I tried to make another danalock device in Indigo. That worked for a while. One of the two devices in Indigo (the same lock) shows unlocked while the other deice (same lock) shows locked. And the door is locked!
Is there any solution?

Thanks

Mirko
