Zooz Z-Wave Plus S2 MultiSiren ZSE19

I have purchased a Zooz Z-Wave Plus S2 MultiSiren ZSE19 I cannot get it to be seen beyond a basic device . It’s not directly supported. I can trigger it with an event. I cannot tell it what sound to choose. I cannot read the temperature from the device..

Anyone have one of these and give me some advice how to trigger the sounds and read the temp /humidity info

Re: Zooz Z-Wave Plus S2 MultiSiren ZSE19

The next version of Indigo will include a device definition for the ZSE19, which will offer at least preliminary (if not full) support.

Re: Zooz Z-Wave Plus S2 MultiSiren ZSE19

I am seeing very strange behavior when trying to add one of these MutlSirens.

It seems to include properly, but this is what happens when trying to sync:

Re: Zooz Z-Wave Plus S2 MultiSiren ZSE19

So I have this installed but I cannot find a way to control the audio be it the volume or the sound file. I might be able through a raw binary zwave command but I do not know what byte does what.

Re: Zooz Z-Wave Plus S2 MultiSiren ZSE19

It has been a while since I added support for this one (and it is a very complex definition), but there should be configuration parameters for the choosing the audio tone and volume, then you use the on/off command to the Audio Speaker relay device Indigo creates to activate it.

If you aren't seeing any device settings, then the model ID on yours probably doesn't match Indigo's definition. In that case re-sync it and copy/paste the Event Log window results into a reply.

Re: Zooz Z-Wave Plus S2 MultiSiren ZSE19

That is the correct model ID (which matches are device definition), so my description above should be accurate. You have to press the button to edit the device settings, then you should see the UI to choose the audio file # and the sound volume. I don't recall how or if you can add a custom audio file with this device. I know with one of these types of modules you connect it via a USB cable to your Mac and you can upload files to it. The details should be in the manual for how it works (or if it supports custom audio files).

Re: Zooz Z-Wave Plus S2 MultiSiren ZSE19

Okay but from what I read on the device there is a three byte set you can apply to the device to make the changes.

https://www.support.getzooz.com/kb/arti ... -settings/

and it has a large command class set whichI think Indigo supports

COMMAND_CLASS_ZWAVEPLUS_INFO_V2
COMMAND_CLASS_ASSOCIATION_V2
COMMAND_CLASS_ASSOCIATION_GRP_INFO
COMMAND_CLASS_TRANSPORT_SERVICE_V2
COMMAND_CLASS_VERSION_V3
COMMAND_CLASS_MANUFACTURER_SPECIFIC_V2
COMMAND_CLASS_DEVICE_RESET_LOCALLY
COMMAND_CLASS_POWERLEVEL
COMMAND_CLASS_SECURITY
COMMAND_CLASS_SECURITY_2
COMMAND_CLASS_SUPERVISION
COMMAND_CLASS_FIRMWARE_UPDATE_MD_V2
COMMAND_CLASS_BATTERY
COMMAND_CLASS_NOTIFICATION_V4
COMMAND_CLASS_SWITCH_BINARY
COMMAND_CLASS_CONFIGURATION
COMMAND_CLASS_SENSOR_MULTILEVEL
COMMAND_CLASS_SOUND_SWITCH

If you notice the attached screen grab I can select these as a parameter for the device but not as a an event trigger response if I try to set this parameter the event log shows Timeout waiting for command to be sent.
Screen Shot 2022-07-10 at 3.18.07 PM.png
Screen Shot 2022-07-10 at 3.18.07 PM.png (48.61 KiB) Viewed 2075 times

so it looks like indigo can see the parameters but cannot talk to the device enough to send or set them. Now one thing I did learn is with smartthings to choose the audio file you have to use a dimmer command and the number of the file. Not ideal for an interface seeting.

I also attempted to do a modify Zwave parameter but I could not see the audio component just the overarching siren. and I tried to apply new parameters as you will see in the other screen shot but it seemed to have no effect.

I do not know if this helps.

Re: Zooz Z-Wave Plus S2 MultiSiren ZSE19

Is your siren battery operated? If so, try powering it temporarily while changing the settings. Also, copy/paste the Event Log window contents showing the results of trying to change both settings (sound tone and sound volume) so we can see exactly what is occurring. Lastly, try temporarily moving the siren to be within a few feet of your Z-Wave controller to see if that works.

Re: Zooz Z-Wave Plus S2 MultiSiren ZSE19

the error is Z-Wave error timeout waiting for command to be sent.
this is a spurious reply to the command which I can only currently make changes via the edit device settings

running a full event log I now see
uiSoundSwitchTone : 5 (string)
uiSoundSwitchVolume : 8 (string)

clicking on on the alarm is the default alarm sound still, turning on the speaker does not produce any sound.. So While It seems I can change settings they are not effectively being used.

I have yet to try the python script as my python skills are limited.
I do not know where the setting go within the two python lines

Re: Zooz Z-Wave Plus S2 MultiSiren ZSE19

I am having a similar problem.

pulled the old out, excluded the hardware readded it ( sans encryption, had previously tried it WITH encryption) .... and yet manual changes to the sound file and volume are not "sticky"

Any pointers? ( 2022.2.2)
