I have been using OPTEX sensors for years, they are mostly commercial grade and expensive. Have one duel beam infrared wireless motion detector mounted on a tree at the end of the driveway that has been working great for 15 years. Being a duel beam infared it does not detect animals except the dear. You need your own wireless transmitter that fits inside the detector. I am using a honeywell transmitter that connects to my vista alarm panel, which connects to indigo with the AD2USB plugin.

There current version is the VXI series which can be hard wired or wireless. there is a less expensive (LX) but not duel beam and may detect smaller animals. They also make wireless two part break beam detectors that can be placed up to 150 feet apart.
Many of there detectors are available from Amcest.
