XLED home 2 Z-Wave not supported - strange inclusion

Ho, I just bought a new outdoor light with included motion sensor and Z-Wave support from Steinel: XLED home 2 Z-Wave

Inclusion to Indigo 7.4.1 somehow worked but for some reason it is included as an Fibaro Wall Plug Relay with Heating control but no wall plug on/off.

Debug log during inclusion:

Not sure why this is reported as a Fibaro device as I thought that thoses identifiers are somehow registered and no company can use another companies identifier. Or maybe Steinel used a modified wall plug produced by Fibaro?

I found this manual online with all the settings listed for this device:
http://manuals-backend.z-wave.info/make.php?lang=EN&sku=STEEXLEDSW&cert=ZC10-17045541

Is it possible to add support for this light as I planned to buy more of these as it would be great to have a 'normal' outdoor light with motion sensor that reports back to Indigo any motion and can be turned on/off from Indigo.

Re: XLED home 2 Z-Wave not supported - strange inclusion

That module is definitely reporting to Indigo using the Fibaro manufacturer ID and the model ID for the Fibaro Wall Plug Relay. Are you sure the correct node ID was selected before the sync started? I'd suggest you exclude, re-include, and re-sync it again to see if you get the same results.

Note that during the sync Indigo also queried out all of the configuration parameters defined by the module, and glancing at the log it looks like good results were returned for every parameter. So whatever module Indigo was communicating with during that sync appears to have the Fibaro Wall Plug Relay firmware. The config parameters defined by the XLED (based on the link you provided) don't match the Fibaro's at all.

Re: XLED home 2 Z-Wave not supported - strange inclusion

Sorry, I don't understand what went wrong but I guess that it has to do with device IDs already included Indigo that got deleted in the stick and reassigned. My old Z-Wave stick died and I only had a memory dump from a month ago with 3 devises missing. I just disabled communication in Indigo as I planned to reinclude them but forgot to do so.
So the stick now included the Steinel Floodlight with an ID that was already used in Indigo for a WallPlug (but disabled).

I even excluded and included it yesterday 2 times and always got those results. I knew that there was something really wrong as I'm not aware of any device that has wall plug energy metering and heating settings in one device.

Now I again reincluded the light and it is recognized as Floodlight with on/off, lux and motion and all is working just fine.

Again sorry for the confusion, I can confirm that a Steinel XLED 2 home is working :D
Only setting some parameters still require raw data sent but thats not a real problem.

Re: XLED home 2 Z-Wave not supported - strange inclusion

After including a module Indigo is supposed to automatically select that node ID in the popup control of the sync dialog to use. It sounds like in this case it didn't and it selected one of your older devices instead (which would also be available to select in the popup). Perhaps the include process didn't complete like Indigo was expecting. Regardless, I'm glad you got it included, sync'd and working now.
