Can't add August Smart Lock Pro

Hi everyone. I have a couple of 3rd-gen August Smart Lock Pro units that I'd like to connect to using Z-Wave so I don't have to rely on polling August's cloud server. But I hit an error when trying to add them. Any hints please? They show up in the "Sync using node:" menu, but then when I click the "Sync" button I get a timeout error (log below). The funny thing is that (although I'm not fluent in raw Z-Wave communication) it looks like the lock is responding with an ACK, and Indigo is ignoring the response. Thoughts?
TIA, -Greg.

I’m not familiar with your lock. I have several Kwikset locks. Are you adding them with encryption enabled or disabled? Locks usually require encryption enabled. Also best to remove the lock and take it to your hub for best results. It can fail if it is not near the hub. Good luck.

Indigo is timing out waiting for reply from the lock, not the other way round.

As replied above, make sure you’re using encryption and make sure the Zstick is still in the Mac (you cant use encryption with the Zstick at the lock), and if there’s a button to wake/keep awake the lock whilst it’s syncing then use it to stop it sleeping.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I tried it with and without encryption, because I had the same thought. Is there anyone who has successfully paired an August lock with Indigo via Z-Wave ?

Hi Greg,

I know there are some other forum threads with confirmation that they've gotten the August Smart Lock Pro's to include and sync in Indigo, but I"m not sure what versions they had.

Your first Event Log snipped shows the lock wasn't included with encryption. Exclude it (you must exclude first) then re-include with encryption and re-sync. Copy/paste the Event Log results of all that (exclusion, inclusion w/ encryption, and sync attempt) into a reply if it still doesn't work.

Thanks guys! I got it working. I had to exclude it and then re-include with encryption.
