Aeotec siren

Hi all- I saw support for Aeotec Doorbell 6 (ZW162) was recently added to indigo and Aeotec just released the device. I ordered one (the siren variation, which is the doorbell minus the button).
When I added it to indigo it worked, but it just shows up as an av control point. I can send raw commands to it and have had some success, but it would of course be more convenient if it exposed some of its functionality as a supported device. The siren version of the product is ZW164 I believe, although it is the same as the doorbell without the button. Perhaps that is why it is not being entirely recognized?

Re: Aeotec siren

Have you/can you submit the device information for it?

Re: Aeotec siren

Also please re-sync it and copy/paste the Event Log window results into a forum reply for me. It sounds like you got one that identifies itself with a different internal model ID we need to add to Indigo.

Re: Aeotec siren

I *think* I submitted it. I filled out that form and hit submit but didn't see a confirmation that it was sent. I suppose it's possible it either didn't send, or you may have several reports of it since I tried it more than once.
I did a resync and the event log output is below

Re: Aeotec siren

We don't provide dates on things like this, but I can tell you that it won't be until later in July at the earliest.

Re: Aeotec siren

Just wanted to drop in to see if there was any news on this (realizing you don't provide specific dates)?
Also wanted to add a little info in case it is helpful based on what I've done in meantime. I ordered one of the actual Aeotec Doorbell 6 packages, which is just the siren plus the button, but the model is advertised just a little differently and the Doorbell - as expected - does show up correctly in Indigo.
One thing I did notice is the available sound tone options (opening the device, select button 1, edit device settings) isn't the complete list. The last one I see is "Gong" which is tone 26. There are als:

27. Single Bell Ting
28. Tonal Pulse
29. Upward Tone
30. Door Open

I ran into that because I wanted to use the "upward tone" for when a door is opened. I was able to work around this by sending a raw zwave command to the device

0x79 0x05 0x1E 0x1D 0xE1

where 0x1E is the volume (30) and 0x1D is the tone (29). This seems to work fine, but if you go to the edit device screen again there isn't anything selected in the dropdown since that value doesn't exist in the list.

I've ordered also a ZW162-C set. Doorbell and button. When i connect it to indigo it also pairs as a AV control point.. Looks like to support of this device needs a fix.

Mine is recognized as an AV control point but Indigo does see it as an Aeotec Doorbell (as opposed to the version of the siren without the doorbell button that I purchased originally, which I believe has a model number of ZW164 - though it is the same as the doorbell without the button. That one shows one device with a type of AV Control Point and unless you use raw zwave commands you can't do anything with it). I end up with 5 devices from it (button 1, 2, 3, security siren and tamper alert). Aside from what I mentioned in the previous post about several of the tones missing from the dropdown (having to set them via a raw zwave command) the rest of the functionality seems to work as expected.

Thanks, I've added the additional 4 tones to the next version.

Your module is using a different model ID. I've added it to Indigo so the next version will work, which will either be 7.3.2 or 7.4.0.

Re: Aeotec siren

Until this gets official support, is there a way to send manual commands to this? I'm pretty new to z-wave, I haven't tried sending manual commands before, but would be willing to try...
