Question on Sensitive strip

I just installed a sensitive strip on my sliding glass door lock lever. All seems to be working great - since this is a battery that is supposed to last ~10 years I reconfigured it to not flash the led and also only report in status once a day. Is it possible to confirm that it is configured correctly from this log entry?

Thanks for any help!

The LED is still flashing so not sure about the 24 hr reporting in change working so someone please help -- this was the only way to monitor my sliding glass door lock and it was not cheap :-(

Re: Question on Sensitive strip

Interesting use case.

I’ve got four in use, all doors in regular but not constant use.

One door, I’ve replaced the Strip twice in <2 years, the rest I’ve not touched since install.

Position wise, I’ve found it prefers end-to-end proximity rather than surface to surface, but I can’t say if it will/won’t work.

Config looks ok to the naked eye, but I don’t have param config to hand.

Re: Question on Sensitive strip

It was hard to get it to work because (like you mentioned) it really wants the magnets to be aligned a certain way, but it is working - maybe Matt will take mercy on me and help with the reporting status interval :-)

BTW, what it yours set to - you can also go online and register. Then they extend the battery warranty to 3 years!

Re: Question on Sensitive strip

If you changed the LED blink during open/close setting it looks like it hasn't been pushed to the device yet. Instead of this:

Config Values: 1:0 2:1

you should have:

Config Values: 1:0 2:0

after the change has been pushed. Try changing it again, and wait 24 hours (since that is the wake up interval it sounds like you set) without restarting the Indigo Server. I think (but don't remember for certain) the change may be lost if you restart the Indigo Server and it hasn't been pushed to the device yet.

Re: Question on Sensitive strip

Ok, thanks.... what is confusing is the message that says pending change. If I operate the lock it clears the pending message. I’ll look again tomorrow and check the led is still flashing.

Re: Question on Sensitive strip

Pending change is correct; it’s waiting till next wakeup (presumably 24 hours as set).

Re: Question on Sensitive strip

Glad to see some people have these working. There were a lot of problems with these at the start and all 3 of mine died within months or wouldn't connect, even their warranty replacements.

Re: Question on Sensitive strip

It took a while to understand them, certainly, but no actual problems with the devices for me.

Except the door that I’ve replaced twice.

It’s downstairs toilet door, no different to upstairs bathroom door!

The two on mums tablets/medicines are fine.
