Fibaro Smart Implant

Please could you add support into the next release of Indigo for the Fibaro Smart Implant.
This is a very interesting device.
Thanks.

Re: Fibaro Smart Implant

This looks like the Fibaro Universal Sensor in a case. If so there’s a good chance it’ll work straight out of the box.

Re: Fibaro Smart Implant

To my ear, the name sounds creepy. "Track your child's movements at all times with the new FIbaro Smart Implant!"

The product itself looks cool are very versatile.

I came here to drink milk and kick ass....and I've just finished my milk.

Re: Fibaro Smart Implant

It’s indeed the successor of the Fibaro Universal Sensor (FGBS321)
But this one (FGBS-222) has 4 separate contacts (2 (analog/binary) inputs + 2 switchable dry outputs)
So, I’m afraid that doesn’t match with the existing Indigo settings because the support now is for max 2 inputs and not for the 2 new outputs.

Re: Fibaro Smart Implant

In combination with a Sharp distance sensor it's a Z-Wave distance measuring unit :D

The standard process for new Z-Wave devices applies: someone will need to get one, sync it, and then submit the results via the Submit Device Info button in the config dialog. This will get it into the database of potential devices to add that we work from. As a reminder, this database isn't a queue since there are a variety of other factors we use to consider what to do next, including demand.

Note: this device seems relatively complex, so it's likely that it will take a non-trivial amount of effort to get it added (not to mention that it's a Fibaro device, so there's that as well).

Re: Fibaro Smart Implant

Thanks for the explanation.

First of all we want to thank you again for the beautiful power of Indigo.
It’s still by far the best Home Automation software ever. Thanks again for all the effort.
We are a big fan of Indigo for years now and it’s a part of our (and customers) lives. :D

Then the questions of today;

In 2017 the Indigo Up-to-Date subscription was introduced;
http://www.indigodomo.com/blog/2016/11/09/indigo-date/
It says:
“The new model will allow us to get more features out to you faster than in the past. “

The last (and paid subscription) version of Indigo was released September 28, 2018 , more than 4 ½ month ago… (sorry to say).

It’s no problem for us to invest in new Z-Wave devices such as the Fibaro Smart Implant en help you/Indigo with new input (that's what we like to do) but after that input we have to wait, sit and see what happened eventual in the future (or not).
And all that months we have a worthless device of 50,00 $/€

We understand, with all the different Z-Wave devices, it’s a lot of work to maintain this kind of software but there are some known brands which needs quicker support to keep Indigo alive and kicking!

All the best!

Re: Fibaro Smart Implant

I'm also very interested in adding this device to my Indigo setup. I bought a MIMO2+ and can't figure out how to sense dry contact inputs (switches).

If you can figure out a way to use this device to keep track of Durosity--like a bell around the cat's neck--I'm sure that we'd be able to find some people to work on the plugin.
