Zwave Association Group issue

Hello,

Indigo 7.2 MacMini Mojave, Aeotec Zstick-2.

I have followed all the documentation and forum information on creating an association between two Fibaro relays (FGS221) but cannot get it to work.

Here is the config for the two devices.
Code: Select all

I created the association from Interfaces -> Z-Wave -> Manage Associations

which sent the following:
Code: Select all

   Z-Wave Debug                    SENT addAssociation: 01 0B 00 13 21 04 85 01 02 20 25 3E 7F
Z-Wave                          added association of "Laundry" to "Guest Bathroom Shelves" group 2
   Z-Wave Debug                    SENT requestAssociations: 01 0A 00 13 21 03 85 02 02 25 3F 5B

   Z-Wave Debug                    . .  requestAssociations: node 033, group: 2, num associations: 2, max associations: 5, replies left: 0
   Z-Wave Debug                    . .  requestAssociations: node 033, group: 2, associations: [1, 32]
   Z-Wave                          retrieved group 2 associations: [1, 32]

and the device config now shows the association:
Code: Select all

Associations: 1:[1] 2:[1, 32] 3:[1]
Config Values: 3:0 4:0 5:0 14:0 16:1

However, when I press the switch linked to Group 2 (Guest Bathroom Main) the associated device Groups (Laundry Fan) does not activate, instead the Laundry (light) is activated, but this is on Group 1.
Code: Select all

Z-Wave                          received "Laundry" status update is on

Can anyone confirm that the raw command is correct:
Code: Select all
addAssociation: 01 0B 00 13 21 04 85 01 02 20 25 3E 7F

Cheers,
Gary.

Re: Zwave Association Group issue

Hi Gary,

Indigo doesn't currently support (it is on the request list) multi-channel associations in its UI. In your example you want Group 2 of the first device to target the 2nd channel/endpoint of the second device. The former is possible (setting Group 2 in the master device), but there is no UI in Indigo to set the latter (yet).

While it is possible to have Indigo send a raw command to add the association (see discussions here and here for some examples), the easiest way to handle this case would be to create a pair of Indigo Triggers (one for ON and one for OFF) on Device State change of Guest Bathroom Main which then sends a Turn On/Off command to Laundry Fan. Basically, have Indigo handle the logic instead of the switch.

Re: Zwave Association Group issue

Hi Matt,

I wasn't trying to create a multi-channel, just a "standard" association between the same group (2).
Previously in Indigo this has worked.

I used OZWCP to perform the association but this is a PITA so hoping that the changes to the UI come soon.

Thanks.
Gary,
