Foxx Project Water Sensor

I found these (binary) water at Amazon Black Friday deals for 15€ and decided to give them a go.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Home-Kitchen/FPZWWS-Z-Wave-Water-Sensor-White/B014JS581E/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1544296847&sr=8-3&keywords=foxx+water+sensor

Pretty small sensor (10 x 5 x 6 cm), powered by 2 AAA batteries. Sensor has about 0,5m cord with small plug at the end with two metal sensor pins. Sensor seems to be rebranded Aeotec sensors since Indigo recognizes them as manufactured by Aeotec but model definitions didn't match with any model.

Anyway, they work as binary sensor and they can be triggered at least by on/off state which is suitable at the moment. Device parameters can't be edited from Edit Device Settings dialog but has to be done through z-wave configuration parameters.

Re: Foxx Project Water Sensor

Looks like this is an OEM of the Aeotec DSB45. Indigo has the Aeotec Water Sensor 6 defined but not yet the DSB45. I'll add it to the ToDo list.

Re: Foxx Project Water Sensor

Is that their old water sensor? Non Gen5 and no temp reporting but if it works that's a great price for water detection.

Re: Foxx Project Water Sensor

No temp sensor and not gen5 but for the price and versatility it is great find: besides water detection I have one installed to my battery operated doorbell and one to my DIY mousetrap!
