Fibaro relay

Hi.
I currently use 2 zwave sockets to control and monitor power to the washing machine and drier. The wireless strength is not great and so I was looking at other options.
I've realised I have the attached fused switch next to them and given the size of the back box wondering if I can put one of these in to control them.

Re: Fibaro relay

I think, Yes in principle but no in detail. :)

I suspect both your washing machine and tumble drier are rated at more than 1.5KW and so you would need two of these: https://www.vesternet.com/z-wave-fibaro-relay-insert-1-2-5-kw

It depends on whether your washing machine and tumble dryer don't exceed 2.5KW or 10 amps?

Another other option might be to put a Z-Wave relay (or socket) between your Z-Stick and the existing Z-Wave sockets to boost the wireless strength.

Alternatively, you might try optimising the Z-Wave sockets (via the Indigo menu) if you added them some time ago in order to update the neighbour list. :)

Re: Fibaro relay

Thanks. Their indoor one heavy duty one is designed for washing machines etc, so shows the little ones are not powerful enough, bit that one of >£100. Will stick with the sockets for now

Yes I had to have some fun optimising network for other devices to find them but seems ok for now.
