Wierd....Never had an unwanted event like this...

OK, I'm relatively new to home automation, but still have dabbled in it for a couple years now...

This is odd to say the least but maybe someone else has encountered similar.
I have a Fibaro wall plug (US version) controlling my patio lights.

I first programmed a couple schedules into it:
Schedule 1 was to turn the patio lights ON at sunset.
Schedule 2 was to turn them off at 11:00pm.

Now what happens is that the lights do come on at sunset, but go off about 22 minutes later.
The auto off in xx:xx is NOT checked in the schedule dialog.

IF I manually trigger them back on, they do stay on until 11:00pm, at which time they go off properly.
After looking everything over, I deleted Schedule 1 (deleted completely).

The next evening, Schedule 1, the ON at sunset was truly gone, as the lights did NOT come on at sunset.
On evening 2, I manually turned on the patio lights and watched.
They should have stayed on until 11:00pm as I left Schedule 2 active.
The lights still went OFF at just after 8:00pm, just as they were doing when Schedule 1 was active.

I don't know where the OFF command is coming from.
The Event Log shows the command, not associated with a Trigger or Schedule.

Anyone experience anything like this? I've never had an issue like this.

The last resort I can think of is to run an exclusion/inclusion on the wall plug and see if it resets anything.

Any thoughts or ideas will be readily welcomed.

Thanks in advance!
Greg

Hi Greg,

In a forum reply copy/paste the lines from the Event Log that show what occurs when it turns off, and include a few lines both before and after the line(s) that show it turning off.

Matt
Just caught the ON event. Seems that Indigo is triggering early for some reason.
I was looking at the attached event log and figured it out.
I had another Schedule you can see at 7:12:48 named Office Night Light cycle.
I had accidentally pulled Patio Lights up into the drop down box when I set that one up.
That Schedule also was auto off after one hour, is why my Patio Lights were going Off early.
I'm getting a little better as we go along....learning every day something new!

I'm glad you got it figured out. The Event Log is definitely the place to look to try to piece together what is causing unexpected events.

Partly figured out.
For some reason, something is still triggering my lights OFF earlier than expected.
See the attached event log. I cannot find the Schedule ID.
Also included is a screenshot showing all my Schedules.
Look at 08:18:48 and it can be seen that the Patio Lights are turned off.

This is a wild ride indeed...

Check for a trigger with that name.

Well I never could find anything corresponding to that ID in the event log. My final resolution was to exclude/include the device back into the system. That fixed the issue. I guess something somewhere just need a re-initialization.
