Indigo 7.3 (and 7.3.1) are now available and should support the Fibaro Shutter Controller (FGRM222)

Re: Fibaro Roller Shutter 2 Device Definition

Does "added to the list" mean it's done or it's on the To Do list? If the latter, can we still use the Fibaro Roller Shutter 3 before it's officially added? I've just bought 2 and would like to use them.

Added to the feature request list for a future version ("added to the list" is shorthand for that).

You might be able to use them by catching/sending raw commands (though we don't know what they are until we look into it, which is what we'll do when we actually do the work to add it).

Re: Fibaro Roller Shutter 2 Device Definition

I believe for the Roller Shutter 1 and 2 they would work in Indigo before we added a definition (the def'n just added config UI). So if the Roller Shutter 3 works similarly then it might work out-of-the-box right now. Maybe Chris from above will chime in with his experience using it with Indigo.

I have the roller shutter 3, and as Matt says it works fine, it just lacks the config UI. It looks to be the same definition as Chrish posted. It was a bit of a faff to setup without it but works without a problem once setup.

Neil, I am (trying to) use the same but am struggling. My 2 Fibaro Roller Shutter 3's are added to my system and there seems to be communication (I hear them clicking) but the curtains simple do not open reliably. It used to work (so-so). Sometimes curtains opened, sometimes not. I tried to recalibrate them and since then nothing works anymore. Tried to factory reset and re-add to Indigo, but currently my curtains wont close anymore.

Do you use them to control curtains as well? Did you have to do anything special, like calibrating them?

Thanks,
Ronald

That is indeed how they show up. Could open/close the curtains or gates by sending an On/Off to the Multilevel switch...

Re: Fibaro Roller Shutter 2 Device Definition

Indigo 7.5 is now available and includes preliminary (untested) support for the Fibaro Roller Shutter 3 (FGR223). Let me know if the 3 devices Indigo defines after sync work correctly. Note you might have to edit your Triggers/Schedules or other logic to select the correct devices after you re-sync (the device order created during the sync may be different).

Re: Fibaro Roller Shutter 2 Device Definition

Hey Matt,

I'm rather a user than an expert for Z-Wave. So please bear with me if my comments are not sufficient for direct support.

I am using 4 Fibaro FGR-223 for my window shutters and I had them all running in Indigo 7.4. Simply just up/down but that was working for me :)
With 7.5, I had to resync these devices:
3 FGR-223 sync without (major - just pretty slow and with time outs) problems and I got all the features as described in the manufacturer's manual.
In Indigo 7.4, I got two elements shown for the device (one with all functions and a second one which was unused).
Now, I have 3 elements per device in a device group:
The Energy, of the Device Group has all the settings (as typical for the first device) but i can just update/reset the power consumption.
However, the curren load/total usage shows always 0
The Position and the Slates/Tilt show on/off/brightness/status request functions.
However on all elements, I receive error messages:
Z-Wave Error device "2. Etage - Rolladen - doppel links - Shutter Position" does not support on command
Z-Wave Error device "2. Etage - Rolladen - doppel links - Shutter Position" does not support off command
Z-Wave Error device "2. Etage - Rolladen - doppel links - Shutter Position" does not support status request command
Z-Wave Error device "2. Etage - Rolladen - doppel links - Slats Tilt" does not support off command
Z-Wave Error device "2. Etage - Rolladen - doppel links - Slats Tilt" does not support on command
Z-Wave Error device "2. Etage - Rolladen - doppel links - Slats Tilt" does not support status request command
Consequently, I can operate the roller only manually using the wall switch :)

The 4th FGR223 refused to finish sync and I receive some encryption error messages:
    Z-Wave Syncing - started for "039 - Motor Control Class B"
    Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved module neighbors list: 16, 18, 22, 30, 32, 33, 36, 37, 38, 40

Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved battery level of 42%
    Z-Wave Error Syncing - failed
Z-Wave Error Timeout waiting for "039 - Motor Control Class B". Module might be asleep, or is unreachable.
Basically, the sync stops almost always at the same position. Sometines with the encryption error messages, sometimes without.
Also, this shutterl I can operate from the wall switch without any problems.

Right next to the FGR223 which isn't synching. I have an FGRM222 for a sunshade. The FRGM222 re-synch at warp speed so I guess it's not a distance/connection problem.
Also, with the FGRM222, I only get one device element (not a device group) which includes all settings, incl. energy.

Any ideas if I make some mistakes here?
