Fibaro Wall Plug Type G FGWPG-111 (UK Socket)

I received and have tested one of the newly released Fibaro Wall Plug Type G FGWPG-111 (UK Socket) today and other than Indigo not having a matching device profile for it, it seems to work fine.

Power on/off via the Indigo UI works fine.
Local power on/off on the module updates on/off status in indigo fine.
Power usage of attached device is reported to indigo fine.

I have submitted a device report to Indigo so hopefully it gets tagged to the next release.

Couple of pics for anyone intrested

Can you switch the led's off that show power usage?

I have a real dislike for glowing things around the house, but do generally like the reliability of the fibaro kit.

Cheers

Hi Mat,

Yes you can disable the light by holding down the switch for a few seconds.

Nice. I’m amazed it’s taken them so long to bring out a U.K. version!

Out of interest does turning it on/off immediately update its status in Indigo or does it needed to be polled?

It updates immediately in Indigo when switched on\off locally so no need for polling which is nice upgrade over my older HomePro modules.

Definitely handy to know. Not in a position to get any now but I’m hoping to phase out my lightwaverf plugs at some point and these would certainly be nice options.

Yes, you can set parameters 41 and 42 to 0 - illumination turned off completely.

Re: Fibaro Wall Plug Type G FGWPG-111 (UK Socket)

Just got a few of these and they seem to be an improvement on the Aeotec Smart Switch 6 (ZW096-C07)

The most significant thing is that the Fibaro physical on/off button is on the side of the switch and you can actually use it when you have a UK plug plugged into the device. :)

This is unlike the Aeotec device where the physical on/off button is on the front face and covered by the UK plug plugged into it, thereby effectively rendering it useless as an on/off switch.

Re: Fibaro Wall Plug Type G FGWPG-111 (UK Socket)

Only problem I had was getting them included, one worked when I was about 2 rooms away from the Indigo Server but the other would not include unless I plugged it in right next to the Indigo Server and on both I had to keep pressing the button as it was not press 1-2-3 and include, more like 1-2-3......10, but they work fine and should have a full definition on the (hopefully) soon to be released 7.1.2 ( )

I have 3 of the US versions of the Fibaro wall plug. They work fine, but do not report energy usage, usage shows up as 0 in Indigo.

Gman, we can look at what code it’s sending and see if we can sort that if you want.

Install my Zwave Watcher plugin and create a watcher on the switch.

Matt/Jay

Just tried a sync on this and still shows as not having a Device Definition after 7.2 upgrade.

Can we add this to the 7.2.1 update please.

Re: Fibaro Wall Plug Type G FGWPG-111 (UK Socket)

Yeah, there are a handful of device definitions I had really hoped to getting to but just ran out of time. This is one of those... No promises on it being in a 7.2.1 update, but don't rule it out.
