Fibaro Z-wave door/window sensor (FGDW-002)

Now to begin with, this sensor is not listed in the supported device list, unless I overlooked it twice...

Has anyone used this with any success? I can get it included into the network as a Notification Sensor.
Battery status shows up fine. Sending a Status Request returns a not acknowledged message in red type.
The temperature sensor also does not show up when the unit is included as well.

Any thoughts?

It sounds unlikely it's currently supported based on your experiences and the support list you referenced.

Submit the device info to Matt/Jay using the button in edit-device and they'll get it added at some point.

Odd - it appears we added some version of that sensor in 7.1 (it's possible Fibaro updated the firmware and the model ID since then). Definitely submit the device information from the device edit dialog (if we don't know about a device, there will be a button titled Submit to Indigo Domotics in the device's config dialog - click that and fill out the form and it will send us the information). If that button doesn't show up, then click the Write Device Details to Event Log button and copy/paste the results from the Event Log Window into a reply post here.

Hey folks,
Any thoughts on whether I need to replace these 4 door sensors or wait it out for Indigo to load a supported profile for them?

Thanks in advance!

Given they’ve already got a profile for this module, just with a different ID, it won’t take long to get them supported.

We'll definitely have this one working in the next release. No ETA yet – we had hoped to have it out a while back but have run into some stability problems that have to be addressed first.

That sounds good folks! I may replace a few of these as they are in key locations, and relocate them to less important sites. My few other door sensors integrated right into Indigo without issue.

Any further advances on this sensor? I have four in my desk drawer waiting to be put into service!

Thanks all!

Re: Fibaro Z-wave door/window sensor (FGDW-002)

I have only one of those sensors with firmware 3.02 and it works as expected. I have Indigo 7.1.1
Nevertheless the Fibaro sensors are quite fiddely to sync. I normally use my ipad to start the sync process in indigo while pressing the sensor's button about 5 times. When the flashing of the led stops I retrigger the sensor with it's button until Indigo finishes syncing.

Cheers
Wilhelm

Indigo 7.2.0 is now available for download and has the new Fibaro Door/Window Sensor 2 (FGDW002) definition.

Re: Fibaro Z-wave door/window sensor (FGDW-002)

Hi

Have any one of you that is using version 2 of Fibaro Door Window Sensor changed battery?
I used to have 2 of version 1 and every time I needed to change battery, I needed to reset the sensor and pair it again.
It was a known and very enoying problem with verion 1.
Hope this works better with version 2?
Please give me an update.
