Yale YRL220-ZW-605, Lock. Part 2

OK after getting it working. I went about my life and with in a week the z-wave connection died

the log shows the following

May 27, 2018, 9:42:28 AM
Z-Wave Error send "002 - Keypad Lever Lock (AYRL220)" status request failed
Z-Wave Error send "002 - Keypad Lever Lock (AYRL220)" unlock failed
Z-Wave Error send "002 - Keypad Lever Lock (AYRL220)" lock failed

Z-Wave Error send "002 - Keypad Lever Lock (AYRL220)" unlock failed
Z-Wave Error send "002 - Keypad Lever Lock (AYRL220)" lock failed

The lock still has power just not talking to Indigo

I don't have a lock so not sure if they sleep - but try waking it before and during the sync.

It looks like it can't find any neighbours. If there are neighbours close, try removing it and re-adding it.

If there is nothing nearby, you may need to include a module halfway between the lock and the nearest z-wave device.

Re: Yale YRL220-ZW-605, Lock. Part 2

I believe from other posts that Capt'n only has one Zwave device at present, hence the lock being node 2.

I suspect the lock is at the extent of Zwave's reach; just about reaches sometimes, doesn't others.

Adding another node in between, even a plugin TKB socket (which I have in a couple of places) will certainly help if this is the problem.

The alternative is the lock HAS gone to sleep - but a lock should be FLiR - listening even though asleep. Worthy trying the "wake me up" button/combination on the lock itself whilst you try resyncing.

Thanks again for a quick response

There is only once device at this installation (I have another installation which also has miserable success)

This lock is like20 feet away. if that is at edge of range ... well

20 feet open air, or 20 feet through metal walls?

Do you live off the coast of Venezuela?

Just wondering if there’s something atmospheric interfering with Zwave frequencies if you have two dodgy installations.

Anything else using same frequencies that you know of?

SOLVED? Re: Yale YRL220-ZW-605, Lock. Part 2

OK when all else fails. punt

Delete device
Total Reset of lock

Now all is well.

I was looking at this as an alternative to morning line.. so far not too sure of that as a path
