Neo Coolcam Siren

As mentioned on a separate topic I received the Neo Coolcam Siren today. All parameters are easily changeable and appear to work, different tones and music along with volume etc. For the price it seems to have been well worth the punt. Hopefully Matt/Jay get around to including a new device definition for it in the near future - no real urgency on my behalf :) If there are any other details or testing required please ask.
I concur with other posts around the build quality, seems pretty solid. The documentation is also very reasonable too.

Thanks for the details. Do you have any docs or a PDF on what the config parameters are?

Matt,
Uploaded Neo Coolcam Z-wave Siren Alarm.pdf in a zip file with a .txt extension!!!! as it won't allow zip or pdf to be uploaded!

You can just email stuff like that to us. We want to make sure that the forums don't end up getting huge with attached files (which is why we only allow certain types).

Just to confirm the attached manual is the one I received with my device.

Thanks Matt for the quick inclusion of this new device in 7.1.
I have a general query.
This device has multiple different sounds, volumes etc. I can set one of these on the actual device which is fine, however if I want to have triggers that play a different sound for each one how is this best handled? Is it plugin territory? Or just my old "friend (not)" Python? Maybe there is an easy way that I'm just not familiar with??

Not sure how well it would work, but there is a Z-Wave action to Modify the Config Parameter on a device so you could modify it to the sound you want before you turn on the siren?

I'll give that a go, once there's not much of a delay it should be fine. Seems a waste to have all those different options and then just picking one...

Indigo 7.1.1 is now available for download and includes support for the Neo CoolCam Siren, including UI for configuration parameters.

When I configured the siren I found out that the duration for door alert is not in seconds, it’s the number of times the sound will play.

Is it possible to use python to automatically configure the siren so it would play different sounds depending if I use it as an additional doorbell alarm with different sounds for either of my entrances or as an alarmsound for fire, leakage etc.
