GE 12730 Fan Controller

Are there plans to include this device as a true 3-speed controller and not the current "dimmer" mode that has been reported?

I've ordered a pair of them for 2 of the rooms in the house and would like to be able to use the same setup as the FanLinc speed controls vs setting values inside the numeric range that hit the various speeds.

Just curious.

Thanks
Ross

It is definitely on the wish/ToDo list.

I got the 2 fan controllers installed and I'm using FlyingDiver's Masquerade plugin v0.1.0 with the Speed Control feature for now, so I'm functional enough to be happy.

GE Fan Controller Still Not Supported? 12730

Been running a single GE 12730 Fan Controller for some time using the Masquerade Plugin, but I moved to a new place so I have more fan controllers I am trying to install, as well as use with HomeKit Bridge, and converting from almost all Insteon to all Z-Wave, so wanted to reduce as many plugins as possible and generally clean things up.

I figured by now the GE 12730 would be supported as a native Fan Controller in Indigo (no offense @FlyingDiver).

I found this announcement for Indigo 7.3 back in 2019 saying that support was coming in a future release:
https://www.indigodomo.com/blog/2019/04 ... indigo-73/

I removed and added the device, but it still comes up as a dimmer.

Am I doing something incorrect, or is this device still not natively supported?

Thanks,

Chris

Sadly seems like it's doomed to the "to do" list forever...4.25 years later and it's still just a dimmer.

Nah, we often have items that have been on the ToDo list for years implemented in Indigo. You should see the size of the ToDo list.

Re: GE 12730 Fan Controller

I was disappointed to see some newer device support announced with 2021.1, but still this poor old Fan Controller is unsupported natively in Indigo.
