Gocontrol GB00Z Glass break Sensor

Although it's not on any lists, I spent a few bucks to experiment with this glass break since it's got pretty good reviews and claims to be fully compliant... Indigo adds it without a hiccup in non encrypted mode
Z-Wave controller included module: 015 - Alarm Sensor (routing)
    Z-Wave stopped controller inclusion mode
Z-Wave Syncing - started for "015 - Alarm Sensor (routing)"

    Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved encrypt commands: - none -
Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved capabilities: routing, battery, beaming, waking
Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved wake interval of 720 minutes
Z-Wave Syncing - device "015 - Alarm Sensor (routing)" wake interval changed to 60 minutes

Z-Wave Syncing - added group 1 association to interface
Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved battery level of 100%
Z-Wave Syncing - created device "015 - Alarm Sensor (routing)"
SQL Logger creating table device_history_563484538 for "015 - Alarm Sensor (routing)"
    Z-Wave Syncing - complete
SQL Logger adding column "batterylevel_ui" to table device_history_563484538 ("015 - Alarm Sensor (routing)")

but the only state that shows up is battery level... will I have to test it and use the Raw Z-wave command to respond?

For now, yes. I've added it to the request list. A debug log of what is sends when you test it would be very helpful.

Re: Gocontrol GB00Z Glass break Sensor

Working on the testing; their manual is extremely unhelpful in terms on this subject; simply says that the testing procedure varies with controller and to consult the controller manufacturer. I am looking for an audio file of glass breaking, but to date haven't found one that will trigger the sensor; and it's main "claim to fame" is that it avoids false alarms from things like dropped bottles and hand clapping. I'll let you know if I find something more.

Gocontrol GB00Z Glass break Sensor

I think/agree the instructions are misleading.

I suspect if you turn on ZWave debugging and put the unit in test, it ought to send a zwave alarm as well as remaining awake for 3 minutes.

The ZWave packet will be ## ## ## ## ## 15 ## 71 05 ## ## at least. (That's the v1 alarm notification command that the sensor is advertising)

It might be ... 71 05 07 05 ## or .... 71 05 07 06 ## if it happens to support v2, but it's not advertising that.

If you can paste the logs with anything after 71 05 we can decode it.

I'll go back and try that again when I get home just to be sure, but when I tried that after including it, the code it returned looked identical to the code that Indigo interprets as "battery level 100%"....

Failing that, if you let me know what time you want it testing, I'll send Durosity round... ;-) ;-) ;-)

Hit the test button once (wake up device, got a single green flash):

Waited about 30 seconds then hit the test button 3 times (test and stay awake, got a triple green flash)

Don't see any 15 ## 71 05 messages anywhere... so I guess I'll keep looking for sounds on youtube.

Wondering what the status of this is? Does anyone have this working?

Re: Gocontrol GB00Z Glass break Sensor

I’ve been coding Zwave for 18 months since the last post, so much more competent now.

However unless we can get a valid notification of some sort out of the module, we can’t claim to do anything with it.

It only seems to be sending hail and battery according to posts above.

If anyone has one/gets one and can put a Zwave Watcher (plugin) on it with a trigger for alerting any received commands, we can work on it - but it might still need real glass break to test.

Re: Gocontrol GB00Z Glass break Sensor

I'm still getting battery status updates from it according to the log; I'll put a watcher on it and then try breaking some bottles over the trash can to see if I can get a signal from it this weekend.

Re: Gocontrol GB00Z Glass break Sensor

Howdy.

So I ran some Glass Break Videos from YouTube with the sensor right next to the speaker and the ZWave Watcher.
It sent out a the following raw ZWave packets repeatedly

Code: Select all
Z-Wave Watcher Debug            Raw command received (Node 6): 01 0D 00 04 00 06 07 9C 02 06 00 FF 00 00 90
Z-Wave Watcher Debug            Raw command received (Node 6): 01 0D 00 04 00 06 07 9C 02 06 00 00 00 00 6F

Re: Gocontrol GB00Z Glass break Sensor

Just FYI , This is the video I used that seems to get response from the sensor.
