Z-Stick II Battery

The battery in my z stick is starting to fail, making the process of pairing devices somewhat awkward. Has anyone replaced the battery pack in theirs?

Computer says no.

Re: Z-Stick II Battery

Alas it needs to be disconnected from the USB power to go into pairing mode

from another board....

J
how do i get the z stick usb dongle apart to replace battery.

thanks

ginger
Just pry the 2 sections apart at the join - may need a thin blade but I used my fingernails- its quite easy and unlikely to do any damage. You can access the battery and then snap the halves back together.

Worth a look!

Re: Z-Stick II Battery

Just cracked mine open and it looks identical around the battery area.. and also soldered on. I was kinda hoping for a little button battery that could be popped out. I think sourcing a 3.7v battery that'd fit in the space would be difficult/more expensive than it's worth.

Re: Z-Stick II Battery

May not be a problem by later next week - you might want to hold off buying a replacement until then.

More trouble than resyncing all your devices to a new controller?

Re: Z-Stick II Battery

Is that a hint that we may be seeing Indigo hardware?
