Re: Fibaro "The Button"

Vesternet (UK) are selling them for £40 (UKP) with availability at end of August.

Seems quite expensive for a single button switch!

Mind you if I had the money to afford an apartment like in this video, I probably wouldn't be worried about the cost :D

Re: Fibaro "The Button"

Just what I needed, a big "Staples button" in my house :). Or is the the "direct button to the president" button? Oh, I know, it's the "fire the nukes" button! I like Fibraro's stuff and this looks like exactly the type of thing they would come up with but I'm not really sure where I would want that.

Re: Fibaro "The Button"

Indigo 6.1 might be able to detect a simple button press from it out-of-the-box, but we won't know for sure until we (or someone) tries it. More complete support for it, like detecting single vs. double-taps, will require a device definition so I've add it to our request list.

Re: Fibaro "The Button"

Hello Matt,

I sent the device definition last week.
Out of the box, nothing happen with this device.
For information, it's not a single button. You can do 1, 2, 3, 4 clicks and also push and maintain + release.

Ask me if you need additional information.

Re: Fibaro "The Button"

Hi Julien,

Thanks, no promises but based on the report it looks promising that we'll be able to get this one fully supported in Indigo 7.

Re: Fibaro "The Button"

Happy v7.0!! :)

Ok, so I have upgraded successfully, I paired my "button" remotely without needing to move the z-stick closer! - awesome!

However, the only way I seem to be able to use it is by setting up a trigger for a "zwave command received" and setting it to "any command".

This then works to use it as a single button, but it can't see each individual button press, or hold and release, etc.

I do see on the inbound zwave command there is a "button pressed", "button double tap", "button triple tap", etc.. however these seem to do nothing.

I see in the event log indigo does receive a unique scene command / Id with each button press but I'm stuck...

Is this a bug, or am I missing a trick?

Re: Fibaro "The Button"

I think your particular The Button has a different model ID then what we have defined. Can you copy/paste the result of the Event Log window showing the define/sync with it? We can then get it added and you'll see the additional scenes in the Trigger dialog.

Re: Fibaro "The Button"

In the meantime, if you have a look at my Zwave Scene Controller plugin - it should work just fine until such time as the new device profile is updated.

Re: Fibaro "The Button"

Your sync looks good, and that is the model ID we have matching Indigo's device definition for the FGPB101. So, I'm not sure why it isn't working. When you create a new Trigger in Indigo, select the Z-Wave Command Received Type and Incoming Command Received Event, the configure dialog should show. From there when you select your FGPB101 device, what shows in the Received popup menu? In addition to Any Command, there should be items for:

Button Pressed
Button Double Tap
Button Triple Tap
Button Quadruple Tap
Button Quintuple Tap
Button Held Down
Button Released
