How is your battery usage for Z-Wave modules?

I'm using a couple of Fibaro FGMS-001 sensors and an Aeonlabs MultiSensor 5.
They work fine, but they eat batteries.
I get an average of 3 to 6 months which I find very low.

I also have ZME_WALLC-S and that will work aprox. 3 weeks before the battery runs down.

Before diving into the "how are your settings" questions I'm wondering what experiences other users have with battery life.

It depends on the usage and frequency.

Fibaro FGMS all over:

My bedroom lasts several months, study a good while. Certainly 6 months, probably nearer 9.

Landing and lounge maybe 2-3 months, kitchen (currently) <1 month.

I'm changing the logic on the kitchen so I can raise the timeouts to normal levels; it's currently set very low to provide instant feedback which is why battery doesn't last.

All my Z-Wave stuff has amazing battery usage. My Fibraro motion sensors have been in for over a year and are still going strong. I have another brand of motion sensor I got as a test and both of those are still over 80% after more than a year as well. All this is presuming the battery report in Indigo is accurate.

My Modest Contributions to Indigo:

HomeKit Bridge | Device Extensions | Security Manager | LCD Creator | Room-O-Matic | Smart Dimmer | Scene Toggle | Powermiser | Homebridge Buddy

One word... No.

(Fibaro, that is, not Indigo)

I don't have many battery powered devices, but my Multi Sensors usually get between maybe 6 and 12 months; the one in the attic is faster to discharge than the crawlspace, presumably due to the increased heat.

Mostly very good for me. Have a mix of Everspring, Aeotec, Vision, TKB. Think the one I change more often than the others is the Everspring which is usually 3-6 months but that gets a lot of traffic anyways.

Save one Fibaro door sensor (which chews through a new set of batteries in less than 2 days and probably defective), My battery devices last quite a long time. A year or better, I'd say.

I came here to drink milk and kick ass....and I've just finished my milk.
