RGBGenie Anyone been able to use this RGBW controller?

I purchased this RGBW Led z-wave controller with hope to use it with Indigo 7.4. It was easy to include in my network but is seen by Indigo 7.4 as a dimmable power switch, not an RGBW controller. Has anyone been able to use one of these?

Re-sync it in Indigo then copy/paste the Event Log results into a forum reply. We'll look into adding a definition for it.

Indigo 7.4.1 is now available and includes preliminary support for the RGBgenie RGBW Controller (ZW1002).

Re: RGBGenie Anyone been able to use this RGBW controller?

Is there anyway to setup these controllers to control the color channels separately? Rather than as a single controller of all three? (i.e. green 1-100; blue 1-100; red 1-100)?

Thanks,

Anthony

Re: RGBGenie Anyone been able to use this RGBW controller?

You can send raw Z-Wave commands to the module to control the color channels individually. Downside is Indigo won't update its UI to reflect the color change (unless the module happens to broadcast out the new state after it is changed; I'm not sure if it does that or not).

The raw Z-Wave command for changing the color levels is:

0x33 0x05 0x01 COLOR_INDEX COLOR_LEVEL

where COLOR_INDEX is 0x02 for RED, 0x03 for GREEN, 0x04 for BLUE, and if supported 0x00 for WARM WHITE and 0x01 for COOL WHITE. There is a UI action for sending raw Z-Wave commands you can use, but if you need to pass in dynamic levels you'll need to send the commands via a python script action. I can give you the basic format for a script if needed.
